I woke Kirsten up so we could go out of the cockpit to the bow…to see dolphins!
We don’t go out on deck at night without another crew up and aware.
The dolphins were awesome. So beautiful and fast and playful. Then we came back to the cockpit and I made the turn to round Point Conception and we got wind. It’s coming from land, so it’s almost certainly because of the cape, dubbed the cape effect. But who cares, I have 20 kts of wind and no engine running!
Also, oil platforms. They look like floating cities or sky scrapers. Completely lit up.
