I’m nearing the end of my watch. The clouds shifted and the stars were visible for a while. Now the clouds have drifted back in.
I can see our buddy boat’s lights periodically as the waves roll by. We have been sailing down wind. With just our mainsail out making anywhere from 5-7 knots depending on the wind or gust. Just got 7 knots on a 17 knot gust. There, just had 20 knots.
The waves are largely on our beam, to the boat tips side to side. You really have to hold on to the boat so you don’t stumble about. Tom was on watch with me for the majority. It’s nice to have company and I really enjoy these hours with each kid individually.
