Final leg for a bit

Sunrise and we are coming up on Punta de Mita. We round between it and Las Tres Marietas and we will be in Bahía de Banderas aka Banderas Bay. Home to La Cruz, Nuevo Vallarta, and Puerto Vallarta to name a few cities.

We will be in La Cruz. We picked up anchor at 7 pm yesterday and everyone save Graham was a bit cranky. Whether from lack of sleep, missing friends who moved on, not getting a good swim in, or the stress of pulling up anchor in the dark I couldn’t tell you. Maybe a combination of all.

In a small space, moods are very catchy, like viruses. One person snipes, and the downhill march to a boat full of snippy, cranky sailors is quick and almost inevitable.

We can’t always be in a “good” mood. We have to make space for the full spectrum of the emotional experience. At the same time, we have to be cognizant of how we affect those around us. Balance is important and communication is key.
