We are anchored with friends from Yatra, Galatea, and Sailing Totem at Bahia Candeleros, BCS, Mexico. The towns are smartly closed to outsiders, making reprovisioning food a challenge (read: adventure!). We’re not even supposed to touch land or swim/snorkel/paddle board.
The local marina is stocking up their tienda (small mini mart) to supply cruisers with enough food so they don’t have to source it from town. Marina Puerto Escondido went above and beyond by even arranging a delivery to us in the bay several miles away so we didn’t have to come in to the populated marina. They made the delivery, working quite late in the evening because it’s a long ways to come and they are inundated with orders to fill.
It’s a great example of people and businesses being completely awesome in challenging times. They’ve certainly made this quarantine better for us and we’ll remember their generosity and help. Think of those businesses and friends going above and beyond for you and remember them after we all get through this together.
