Still in La Ramada, though contemplating a move to an anchorage with north/north east wind protection. 18-23 kts of westerly winds from land with lightning to the east. It is another restless night on Pulsar. As a friend said, “Mexico doesn’t want us to sleep.”
Mid and late summer brings all sorts of weather In the Sea of Cortez that is not conducive to sleep. Heat, chubascos, tropical depressions (you know, hurricanes). Not that we have experienced, or had to move out of a hurricanes path yet. But August and September are the most active months. There is one predicted to develop that we are closely monitoring.
Summer also seems to bring jelly fish. We can’t get in the water these days without getting stung by tiny translucent white jelly fish. Grrr. Being able to take a quick dip the giant bath tub we are floating in makes the heat bearable.
This evening brought bugs and bats. I couldn’t see the bats, but I could hear them chirpIng and squeaking as they devoured the bugs.
