Lots happening this evening. Peñasco’s shipwright, Calin, came to the yard to tack weld the lower bearing/rudder shoe together, then off to his workshop. He says it will be done tomorrow morning!! 💃
Then there was a boat fire in the marina next to the yard. 🥺 We think at least three boats were on fire at one point, but hard to tell. The first boat is totally destroyed. The others have serious damage, their forstays and furled jibs caught fire and ones mast was ablaze. Fire crews got it under control, but the fire burned so hot it was white on the boat deck. 😱 This is a sailors nightmare.
