So far so good night two. Nothing big to report, which is great. After spending two hours on the bow getting the furler sorted out earlier today I’m happy to be inside the cockpit in dry clothes right now. Karri made me a hot cider too, so I’m pretty much living in the lap of luxury here doing this watch. We’re still upwind so it’s still a bit intense. I usually prefer upwind sailing, it’s more fun and Pulsar just handles like a dream. But on a passage, particularly this one, I’m mindful of the loads on the rig and the crew, and will be happy to be downwind in a few days. The weather shows we’re going to have no wind for a few days, starting tomorrow evening. Hopefully there will be just enough to keep the spinnaker flying. The spinnaker is the huge colorful sail at the front you always see in sailing pictures, it can only be flown in light winds unless you’re a crazy racer. Ok, back to stargazing for me…
