5/5 Would cruise again

Cruises on Pulsar Liner are a little unusual at first, but I’ve grown to appreciate them. The available activities are not the same as your typical cruise: no water slides, hot tubs, etc. Fortunately there remains considerable time for reading and wave watching. The crew seems not to care terribly much for service levels you may be accustomed to on other cruise liners. Example interaction; “I’d like some chicken pasta” may draw a reply of “So get some…it’s in the fridge.” No amount of tips seem to change this, there is no room service to speak of. The boat also sways in the waves a little more than your average cruise liner due to its diminutive size.

The price was certainly excellent, however, it was unclear at the outset that the reduced cabin price also meant that passengers share cabin space with crew. This has fostered great camaraderie, however, and some of the crew even now seem to believe I am one of them. Perhaps this is at the root of why I have not received my requested five course meal today as requested from the steward.

Despite assumptions the all inclusive trip included alcohol, any attempt to acquire some is met with comments like, “Hey, you’re on duty”, “The captain can’t drink”, and “It’s your rule, nobody drinks underway”. Very rude. Despite all of this, I have been served avocado toast on this morn and my millennial sensibilities are now addressed. I shall endeavor to persevere.
