We finally got a fish to bite a lure. Kirsten and Rachel have been diligent the last few days of putting out a couple of lures. Every evening the lines get pulled in sans fish. This evening I told Kirsten to pull in her lines and behold! a fish attached to one!
A beautiful, approximately 2 ft long, fat blue fin tuna. Graham came up to help, excitment sizzled on deck, anticipation for a tasty treat.
As Kirsten pulled it in, that savy fish wriggled off the hook and back into the deep blue of the ocean. Sad faces all around. Guess we’ll put the lines out tomorrow for another go.
