We arrive in Nuku Hiva. All on board are so excited. After 3 days of smooth sailing and lovely sunny days, our last full day (and predicted for night) has been a doozy.

We started the day with a squall which saw us reefing the genoa. Then after pulling down weather and seeing that the stronger winds were going to be with us until we reached Nuku Hiva we reefed the main as well. We are still averaging 7.5 to 8.5 knots.

Poseidon is taking his due this last leg of the journey. Our electric kettle got thrown across the galley and now has a leak. We have no back up kettle and it is too lively for a pot of water. So no more hot drinks until we anchor. One of our two surf board strapped behind the solar panels disappeared sometime during my watch. We barely rescued the second one.

Crew is in awesome spirits and ready for this passage of a lifetime to reach its completion.
