You may have noticed we slowed down

We had to slow down all day today to a crawl. We could have arrived in three days, but just barely past the viable tidal window for entering Fakarava, so that doesn’t work, back to the original four day plan. I guess we should have been less lazy with sail trim and pulled out another 5% the past few days. We need to enter the atoll on a slack tide, and it needs to be one that will allow us to maneuver and anchor inside between 10-2ish when the sun is directly overhead so that we can see the coral heads in the water. It became clear that we were going to miss this window, barely, and as a result we’ve slowed to a crawl and will arrive in four days. We should be able to enter at first light tomorrow, make our way to the north anchorage, and find a place around 10ish. It’s been a very calm and wonderful passage, and adding an extra day doesn’t even bother us at this point. We had a very large but very mild squall pass by today providing the most excitement we’ve had the whole passage.
