No big surprise, but we changed our minds again and we are sailing north to Tuvalu instead of south to New Zealand. We are over half way there and it has been a lovely sail.
Started with zesty winds in front of us, so we had some pretty good heel (tilt) while sailing. Today the wind chilled out along with the seastate and now we are gliding at 4.5kts on gently rolling seas.
Graham’s brother Heath joined us in Fiji and is now crew with us. We have all these skills and knowledge that we take a bit for granted, so it’s nice to share them with someone.
Today dolphins joined us for a few hours, playing gracefully at the bow, squeaking and chirping away. The moon is so bright it’s almost like daylight during our night watches.
On this side of the world it is October 31 as I post this just past midnight. So Happy Halloween from the future☺️.
